Welcome to all the new club members and those who are just curious to find out what we are all about.
Our first meeting will be held at the Sooke Community Centre conference room, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, April 25th, 2022. At this meeting we will get to know each other a little bit and talk about the goals and direction of the new club and expectations of members.

I am really looking forward to seeing you all there. I would like to have as many of you signed up as members before the first meeting, but you can also sign up & pay the yearly membership dues at the meeting. If you’re not sure if the club will be right for you, feel free to drop in on the first meeting, with no commitment.
I will let you know my photography background and discuss some basic photography topics, as well as places we may go to on some of our monthly adventures.
Speaking of which, our first group adventure will be only two days after the meeting. At 9:30 AM on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, the club will meet at the Sooke Regional Museum (2070 Phillips Road, Sooke), in the gravel parking lot along the highway. I thought for our first adventure it would be good to stay close by and it’s a chance to practice a variety of photography styles and skills. There’s lots to see in and around the museum, so I hope we have a great turnout (rain or shine) for our first time out as a group!

Is this an all ages group? My 11yrs is getting interested in photography and would attend with my husband. Also, will you have evenings & weekend field trips? Being at work during regular business hrs doesn’t allow for morning field trips. Thx

Hi! This is for all ages and skill levels. Often these clubs have a lot of older members, but it would be great to have some young people interested in photography and participating in the club. As for meeting and adventure trip times and days, I plan on varying them so that a wide variety of people can attend. I’m sure we will have times and days that work for your family.
