Hello again to all the great photographers in our group. Sorry for the delay in posting lately, but I was sick for a while and fell behind on updates.

Our meeting for this month will be Wednesday, 18 May, 2022 at 6:00 PM, and will be held in the Multipurpose Room of the Sooke branch of the Vancouver Island Public Library (located at 6671 Wadams Way, Sooke).

Make sure you have added photos to the Flickr group and tagged up to three of them with SPAC-assignment for review by the group. I have noticed that there are some great shadow images in the group pool, but few of them have been tagged. Please check to see if you have tagged the images you want shown at the meeting and reviewed by the group. Thanks!

As well as reviewing some images, I will give a short talk about some of the basics of photography, as we have a number of members who are newer to photography. These will be some of the general principles to use as a starting point and build upon. At future meetings we will be going more in-depth on other topics and techniques, so a basic background will be helpful.

We had a small, but fun, adventure outing to the museum last month and will be announcing our next planned photography adventure, as well as the month’s photography assignment at the meeting.
