June Meeting

Hi everyone! Well we had a nice day at the Luxton Spring Fair for our most recent adventure and I am seeing some fun photos from it already! I know the first couple of Adventures have been pretty short notice, which can make it hard to plan for, so I will try to give more advanced notice on Adventure days in the future.

Our next club meeting will be at the Library in Sooke (click the link for map), at 10:00 AM, Saturday, 25 June, 2022. Hopefully a Saturday date will give some people who haven’t been able to make the weekday evenings a chance to attend a meeting.

At the last meeting we talked about the exposure triangle and the basics of photography, and our Assignment was Long Exposures. At this month’s meeting, we will review your images that have been tagged with SPAC-long and are posted to our Flickr group.

As we are heading into warmer weather and there will be many more people about, different opportunities for photography will arise. While it’s nice to photograph a scenic location with nobody around in our shots, with crowds, that becomes more difficult. For the upcoming meeting in June we will be discussing Street Photography, which works well with more people around. I look forward to seeing you all there!

  1. I love Street photography and fear it, with the new privacy awareness.

Look forward to getting some tips.
